Made in India: Our Manufacturing Process

“Made in India” is not a label we add at the end. It is how we work — designing and manufacturing under one roof, so we control the quality of every piece from the first sketch to the final wipe-down.

Keeping design and making together lets us do something mass production cannot: build to order, hold a high standard, and waste very little. Here is how a product actually comes together.

Design and engineering

Every piece is designed in-house. Once the form is resolved, we engineer it for real-world production — sizing components, planning joins, and deciding which processes each part needs. Nothing goes into making until the design is right.

Material and manufacturing

We then make the parts using the right process for the design. Sculptural shades are 3D-printed in plant-based PLA. Frames and surfaces are cut, formed and welded from aluminium, steel or galvanised iron. Most products draw on more than one of these capabilities, which is exactly why the range holds together while staying varied.

Finishing

Finishing is where a part becomes a product. Metal is powder-coated for a durable, premium surface; printed and assembled parts are cleaned up and refined by hand. This is the step that gives an AERIS piece its considered, made-to-last feel.

Assembly and quality

Finally, each product is hand-assembled and checked before it ships — typically within five to seven days, because it is made once you order it. Making to order means tighter quality control and far less waste than holding mass-produced stock.

Why it matters

Designing and manufacturing locally means we are accountable for the whole product, not just a part of it. When something carries the AERIS name, it has been designed, made and finished by the same team — in India, by hand, to a standard we can stand behind.
